ABOUT
Embrace diversity organization is a new initiative, designed for children and youth with severe disabilities, sensory issues and intellectual disabilities. It is founded by three parents who want to provide their children with an environment that stimulates and encourages them to grow to their full potential despite their disabilities.
Embrace opened its doors in October 2018 to its members. At Embrace the staff is ready to make a child’s day as fun and educational as possible. Embrace is a fully-accessible indoor and outdoor activity centre
SERVICES
Advances key skills such as gross motor skills, fine motor skills, oral and olfactory skills
Encourages social interaction, teamwork, turn taking and intentional communication that builds a circle of friends
Aids in achieving the maximum level of independence and expression by means of interaction with the physical world through their own personality
Give a place for people with disability the chance to meet their peers and offer extra curriculum activities to its members
Introduce live-ins, where members can enjoy sleep overs with peers and learn independent life skills, such as, shopping, preparing a simple meal, brushing teeth, changing, toilet training, to name a few
